Godspeed our fallen brethren. Prayers to his family, coworkers and friends.

As I near the end of my career I have little sympathy for the murderer. I find sick satisfaction in that his brothers in arms were able to repay the favor.

May God bless you Officer Henwood.

S.D.P.D. has lost 3 Officers in the past month and two Officers EOW in the line of duty with in the past 10 months.

            May they Rest in Peace.

While I treat my self to In-N-Out, it seems that the area including Nat. City one do get's unruly around night time. At times, at my local one there can be one day 80 rice bikers, next day 40 low riders, etc. Why I tend to keep an eye out while in the ghetto...

May the Officer patrol the big blue sky, R.I.P. - Peace Officer Jeremy Henwood.

It does make you a little hinky sitting at any intersection, wondering if some random turd bucket is going to come blow you away.

I have had to make peace with the fact that all the training, experience, and tactical mindset in the world, you can't do much about a random ambush like that.

I was shooting today at DGM on Sunday. Couldn't help but think of this poor officer as I went past the In N Out. By all accounts, he had no inkling of what was coming. My thoughts and prayers go out to this young man's family.

                    Thank you for giving all.

I completely agree, in this situation there's nothing you can do. Godspeed brother, may you rest in peace.

I listened to 5 minutes of the 56+ minute dispatch and the professionalism of those on the radio; especially the dispatcher was outstanding. The dispatcher remained calm throughout and that helps the units in the street immensely. She is a credit to her department.

Spending 15yrs. of my 27 in patrol, I would expect nothing less. Our dispatchers and I would surmise all, remain calm during these type of emergency incidents, which is truly beneficial to all of those on the street.

My condolences to the officer's family and his department brethren.

That dispatcher deserves a medal, outstanding job on her part.

Here's the saddest part of the whole thing. The BOL for the car came out two minutes after the ECPD terminated the chase. Two minutes and the officer would still be alive. Two minutes.....terrible. Prayers for his family.
