I spoke with the POA attorney for Costa Mesa PD today. They have a long fight ahead of them with the city counsel.

It’s very clear to me that there is no fiscal crisis in the City of Costa Mesa. The majority of the council has created budget gaps in order to affect or create the appearance of a fiscal crisis.

Interesting statement. Sacramento has the same issue right now. The city council claims there is a 50 million dollar deficit but continued questioning the budget office can not produce the numbers on paper. The council DID however approve a 47.7 million revamp (yet again) of the K St Mall. For the 5th time now. Where'd The moe come from I wonder?

Man, We have out union bids this month, I wish I would of presented it to the board. No doubt in my mind there is some skullduggery going on in city hall

My question on this account is how many bad decisions does it take before the people step up and stop them from doing this. My aunt and uncle both live in CM and I know they would definitely disapprove of this. What should happen is every 6 months all politicians be removed from office with no opportunity to return, hence fresh people put in office will do right by the city and it's various departments, instead of doing right by their billfold. In my personal experience I have yet to see a single politician that does right by everyone else before thinking of themselves. ~end rant~
