    Gunsmith...

My dept. Recently Authorized the 1911 for patrol duty use. I bought a Kimber Warrior, and wanted to get the "reliability package" done (polish ramp, throat barrel, etc). I was wondering where other SoCal LEO's go to, to get work done? Looking for places near Los Angeles. Thanx.

Daniel does first rate work. Reasonable prices and good turn around time.

      Jim Hoag in Canoga Park
      Alan Tanaka in Gardena
      Jojo Vindanes in Norco

      All come to mind.

Dave Lawver in Covina also comes highly recommended.
I would advise one of the above, they are the legends of CA 1911 work and will not ever do you wrong. Be wary of gunstore "smiths" who make claims that they can't back up.
