undershirt recommendation

I'm looking for recommendations for cooling undershirts to wear under a polyester uniform shirt. Something in khaki would be nice since that is the color of the shirt. I was thinking of Coolmax; is that good?

Get the under armor type made by champion... I often find them from 2.50 to 6.00 a few times a year at Target.

I think the term is 5.11 whore. Anyhow, that's pretty much what consists of my undershirt collection since I bought it all on sale. Underarmor is good as well as that's what half of my department seems to wear. If you decide to go with coolmax, let us know how those work out as well.

UnderArmor, but make sure you get the seamless type. Those seams really chafe.

Target brand for me. I think they sell them from 10-15 bucks. They are a lot cheaper than underarmor.

For me cotton t-shirts from costco. I own a couple UA polys that I use during the really hot days of summer. 5.11 makes cotton t's a tad longer to keep them tucked.

I wear under armor or the Champion from Target. They work well, and I'm out in the hot Barstow sun for about half of my 12 hr shifts in the summer.

I have various UnderArmour shirts, some Nike shirts, some Reebok shirts, some Blackhawk shirts, and some Magnum shirts. The fitted shirts can become tight and restrictive so you have to buy at least 1 size larger for optimum comfort. I find the shirts that are 2 sizes larger to be best for comfort while maintaining a some what fitted appearance.

The loose fit shirts are actually great for general use, and not good for under uniform wear as they can bunch still thanks to the looser fit. Those shirts you can buy true to size.

Botach always has some of the Magnum or Blackhawk shirts for sale. I picked up quite a few for $5 or $6 each.

Yep... I check the clearance rack every time we are there... About every 3rd time, they have them for sale between the prices I posted. And to anyone reading, check EVERY label... Some are the same, but could be marked a few bucks less... Most of the time I buy a few and they will knock it down to the lower price of the bunch.

Target and Walmart are my top two places to go. I normally wear an XL t-shirt so I go with a large loose cut shirt rather than the fitted ones. It feels more comfy to me. I have picked up a UA from REI when they had a clearance. IT seems to be a better finish to it but it is not worth the price especially when it comes to performance. The cheaper brands wear just as well if not better.

I like the looser fitting ones from UA and Blackhawk. I've found that the compression one let my vest slide around too much and my uniform shirt always comes untucked.

Good info guys. There isn't a Target or Walmart near me, so it would be a 30 mile drive to check to see what they have. My dad works for Adidas, so he's going to see what they have at the outlet store.
