Is there a law that states it is illegal to steer your vehicle with your foot?

I'm not a cop but I think they might be able to get you for reckless driving. Why would you want to drive with your feet? How would you work the pedals?

WOW shes pretty good at driving with her feet. I don't know if I would feel completely comfortable riding along but she sure as hell can do it. As for the legal issue I have no idea. I guess in her case if you take the driving test with your feet and pass I guess you would be good to go.

plenty of handicapped people drive cars in many different ways....and while driving is a privilege, as long as you can prove your competency, I don't see why it would be illegal. Doubt there is an actual statute/law specifically stating hands must be used(or other appendages cannot be used).

Not specifically by the vehicle code. However if you operate a vehicle in a reckless or unsafe manner you may run afoul of those sections.

I steer with my knee as well, it helps when I'm trying to talk on the phone and smoke or trying to eat a burger or open a bottle of whis...i mean water. A lot of people tell me it's unsafe, what if you need to evade a hazard, what if your leg cramps up. I tell them, I still have hands, I can put my drink in the cup holder or put my phone on speaker.

I dont believe its illegal, but if you have no arms and have proven to the DMV that you can pass the test with your feet, I dont think it is a problem... but....

If you get pulled over driving with your feet and you have working arms, i'm sure that'll be a problem haha.
