About to take the POST test

You mean like the standardized academy entrance exam? You don't need to study. If you can walk and chew gum at the same time you should do alright, if you cant pass this you shouldn't be allowed to own a gun let alone carry one!

The POST test... if you mean the state standardized POST test that we take right before we graduate the academy to show proficiency in all the LD's, then it's not rocket science, but you had better know what you are talking about. If you stayed awake in the academy and applied yourself, you should be fine.

If you are talking about the entrance exam or first written test for a department which is the state POST standardized Peace Officer recruit exam, you should be able to pass it if your brain is functioning at a level comparable to a high schooler.

As for dress code, it never hurts to dress clean and professional, and it could hurt looking like an idiot because there will be police officials there administering the test. If you come in like a slob or wear logos that might catch their eye like the 420 hat, you will be remembered.

Notorious is spot on. Like tac staff told us on orientation the only person allowed to have hair on your head is not you.
