    RIP Officer Jermaine Gibson

Sad day for California cops -- another LEO death.

Cathedral City Police Officer Jermaine Gibson died just after midnight Saturday, March 19, 2011. He was in a high-speed pursuit when he lost control of his cruiser and crashed into a palm tree. (The suspect vehicle also crashed into a palm tree and burst into flames.)

Officer Gibson was 29 years old, a Marine veteran, and leaves behind his new wife and baby son.

I knew Officer Gibson, I am an Explorer with CCPD. Every time i went into the locker room, he said "whats up?". He was a really great guy, he always said hello, and always joked around with you. I still cant believe this happened to him. May him RIP.

Heres a link about his death, if anyone is interested.

Officer Jermaine Gibson was killed in a high-speed chase after his patrol car left the road and collided with a tree on South Palm Canyon Drive near Mesquite Avenue.

I only worked with him once, but I recognized his picture on ODMP. He was a good guy, to be sure.

                RIP.

It is horrible to hear when one of the good guys don't make it home.

Godspeed to him. This happened only 1/4 from my hotel. We had just walked in the door after walking past the scene of acident when we heard the sirens.
This is a very unfortunate accident. RIP Officer Johnson.
