Anyone else in process?

In process with CHP, so far passed everything (haven't got a letter saying i failed psych, in 2 months, so take that as I passed), waiting on my academy start date and getting back in shape. Been in process for over 2 years. Who else is waiting, and anyone have advice for CHP academy?

Hate to break the bad news to you but the academy will be shutting down due to the budget mess. It may be a while before next class is put through.

Keep your head up and wait until after the fiscal year ends in June. It's all anyone can do. The CHP also has a lot of SGT and LT promotions that are on hold because of the budget. It's affecting both people that are on the department and people who are trying to get on.

Really? Last time I talked to a friend of mine that is the union rep, he said they had bumped class sizes from 180 to 240, and that CHP was not really affected because it is financed by DMV registration fees
