thoughts on L.A.P.D Chief Beck's decision

He basically said d.u.I check points target illegals with out a license..so he said people caught with out a license will not have their car impounded..they will be able to call a friend to pick it up.

How does this work if this non-licensed individual gets in an accident? He probably doesn't have insurance...so us again..law abiding citizens are left to pick up the slack of negligence.

It really pisses me off that laws get bent over backwards for criminals.

He's not the only chief to institute that policy. it's bull**** in my opinion, but for some reason someone screamed loud enough and they listened.

The driver still gets cited for the misdemeanor. They don't get a free pass.

I was hit by an illegal immigrant driver from Mexico on the freeway. She did not have a driver's license, but wasn't arrested anyway.

My insurance company basically wouldn't cover my claim as they could not find the person.

            ---

I was rear ended by a 19 year old with a student visa from Taiwan, no driver's license. He fled back to Taiwan. My car was totaled, and I received no compensation of any kind.

            ---

Not their country, why should they take responsibility for their actions here? After committing a crime, hop on the first flight home, sit for a year, then come back with a new name.

Beck is right, it is not fair to punish an individual whom illegally entered our country and ignores our laws by operating a vehicle, on a public roadway which they did not contribute to pay for, without a driver's license or auto insurance.

You, as a citizen though, must pay for the road, pay for a driver's license, pay for auto insurance and pay a fee to register your vehicle annually.

              After all, it's only fair.......................

They are Misdemeanors, but the DA may take a different view!

Generally (in Sac) there is no time to TOW cars unless it is incident to a felony arrest or DUI.

We have been told to cite them as infractions, but yes the vehicle code shows them as misdo's.

We don't tow for DUI unless it's a road hazard. 99% of the time the offenders car is moved and parked for them.

We heard it today and we're like... glad we don't work in that sanctuary city. It's the doing of LA City Mayor Villagotraitor. Crime is crime, there should be no color or race or nationality component to it.

DUI is DUI. Who cares who committed it as long as it is committed? Does a Hispanic person drive safer when drunk as compared to a black person versus a white person? Nope. A drunk driver is a drunk driver is a drunk driver.

As for getting a free pass... the driver who doesn't have a license should not be driving, period. Tow the car as provided by law. 30 days impound! $1,300 tow and storage fees. Even that won't make up for all the lost moneys we pay out for those who drive without a license.

I am just glad that 14601 carries mandatory sentences that go up incrementally with each conviction... assuming that the jackhole shows up to court in the first place.

I recently pulled over an illegal with no less than 4 active warrants, including 2 for FTA on 2 separate 14601 tickets. There were other things too, including drug dealing, but he didn't care. He said he gets kicked out anyway from jail and then doesn't show up and it makes no difference. So I book him and he said he has to go to work at a local restaurant so he needs to get out in time... and yes, he says he works for cash.

I'm never going to that restaurant again. This stuff is all real. Immigration rights groups can kiss my arse. They are not pro-immigration. They are pro-people openly flaunting their illegal activities and ignoring every type of law we have.

Immigration can be a beautiful thing. Just not when people are abusing it and rely on people in power with their same skin color.

Imagine if whites or blacks were exempt from any law.

                              Riots would happen.

And its a joke and display of pure ignorance and hate when people riot over excesive force.

I'm reffering to the officers who shot an illegal for lounging at them with a knife.

I'm seriously thinking of burning my social and start claiming immigrant. It seems they're the only ones above the law with back up by ignorant so-called political activist.

These activist should start taking pride in their country and understand our borders cannot be opened.

We open a border to a county. We inherit their problems...next thing you know..americans will illegally enter canada or another country for a *better life*
