Passed Orals but have a Question

I was notified today that I passed my oral interview. During the interview they asked about stuff that may come up in a background investigation and asked I comment on things now. When asked about theft I said no and really meant it. Upon leaving the interview, my mind started racing back to a former job. A while back I worked in a magazine store. Many magazines came with CDs and DVDs. Some were music related but others tech. When a magazine was out of date we would send them back to the distributer but they didn't take the disks back. We were never given instruction on what to do with the disks, just that the distributer didn't want them and so we always just ended up tossing them. Being young and naive I did end up taking a few. While they never said we couldn't, and I still don't see this as theft, I get anxious when thinking about answering a question on theft during a polygraph test and worry that it may trigger a bad response. Can anyone give me any advice as to how I should handle this? I haven't talked to my Background Investigator yet, but should I tell him about feeling anxious over this? I'd hate to fail a poly based on this. Any advice? Thanks in advance

Well I felt honest in saying no cause I truly don't believe it was theft. But it stresses me out and makes me feel anxious and I know that could come off as a lie. If I disclose it with the BI would it hurt me since I didn't mention it during the interview?

I would explain it to your BI the same way you just explained it to us... tell him you remembered that event after leaving the OB, and want to make sure it's not an issue that will mess up your polygraph exam.
