    Raids

Since my earlier thread was locked before I could share more info. Here is some of it from the CATO Institute: http://www.cato.org/raidmap/

The locked thread is here: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=387801

    Two things

    1. Your trying to convince me with a graph of maybe 200 accidents in the last 25 years? It didn't work. How many people live in America? 200 out of 300 million is a very low rate.

    2. If your thread is locked, maybe, just maybe you shouldn't start another one about the same topic. It just doesn't seem like a smart move.

I'm curious what you intend to accomplish by posting this (again). Though I expect that what you will accomplish is a ban from the LEO forum.

Purple K....Did you have your weed taken? You seem pretty "passionate" about this topic... Unfortunately, you also seem like your are making your decisions based on your feelings.

Ten percent asked for the statistics in the other thread, so I posted them. I'm not trying to pick a fight or get banned, just looking for healthy dialoge and information. If this has been discussed previously, i missed it. The stats. show 45 innocents killed as well as 31 Officers. As the CATO Institute stated, it's not as rare as it's made out to be. To make matters worse, there are now documented instances of LEO/SWAT imposters doing home invasions. My thoughts about the sign at my door were simply this: they see the sign and double-check their intel. One simple act that'll save everyone mayor heartache.

Interesting read,.... Although some guys might not like you posting it, I think it is important we are aware of the things that happen around us especially with the recent "No Warrant" searches that seem to be happening more and more.

There is no weed to be taken around here. "Purple K" is a firefighting agent. I'm a Firefighter/EMT. My "passion" as you call it is that I want to do all that I can to avoid a tragic mistake.

Don't get me/us wrong... Me/We like the dialog as well, but it always seems to go in circles. As stated, a no knock warrant is rare, and its been verified by many LEO's on here, who have a ton of experience with warrants.

I have not been an LEO for long, so being fairly (Just past the 2 yr mark) new, I try to stick my nose in everything... I am fortunate enough to have a really cool position were I get to experience warrant service. In talking with the guys I work with, they have never seen a No Knock warrant. They have years of experience in the topic at hand, ranging from many states and different agencies, and many different assignments.

Sorry, I should have posted the or . meant as a joke to lighten the mood... It's been a long day. Swing shift, 4 hr turn around, then day shift.

Trust me though... NO ONE wants to be involved in a botched raid, whether bad intel, safe raid, or Good intel, injured people.

That's why we practice and double check... That being said, things happen. We are human, and thus prone to mistakes.

I think you could significantly reduce the probability of error AND save a LOT of worry if you amended your sign to request TRIPLE checking instead of just double checking...

........Do you live in a trailer park by chance ??

Haha...Does double check buy a minimum of three guys, and two over bearing, micro managing brass wearers count???
