Isn't there a training center out at the end of Fiddyment Rd(past the casino, near Lincoln city limits)? Its outdoor, but I've seen groups out there training dogs before. Just curious.

Even if there is a training center, K9s should be trained in all different environments. It helps keep the dog on its toes(or paws)

I think the place on fiddy is owned and used mainly by PCSO

k9 units train EVERYWHERE. they find old buildings, schools, houses etc etc. Just as said before the dogs need to be kept sharp.

I just told our instructor some ideas I had of various buildings we can run scenarios through and he's going to use them next time for his new incoming class of cadets.

Sorry to intrude, but if there are any Roseville cops on this thread I have a question to ask. Why do Roseville Police Officers consistently write frivolous traffic tickets to other cops in neighboring jurisdictions? Do you guys take great pleasure in this? Or is it simply a matter of good job satisfaction?

Just curious, not here for a fight!

                      *i'm not a cop*

besides the usual theft/larceny and dui stops, traffic violations are about the only crimes that occur roseville.

Yeah, Roseville cops are a different breed all together. I have met a couple really cool guys who work there, but they are the exception. Roseville PD is the only disliked department by all the other surrounding agencies. Everyone else gets along without any issues.

I'm pretty sure it's a revenue directive from the upper brass.

On more than one instance at a certain intersection, an officer stands behind a signal control box and does a visual on every car that stops at the light, while 4 motor patrol officers hide across the street waiting for the standing officer to radio a car to stop.

Another speed trap is on Douglas Blvd. where one officers runs radar/lidar and 5-6 motor patrol officers stand by. This is the area were it goes from 45-35-45-55 mph with in a few blocks. I see this about 2 or 3 days a week.
