    R.I.P. Agent Brian Terry

Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was shot and killed near Rio Rico, Arizona, while attempting to apprehend a group of armed subjects. The suspects had been preying on illegal immigrants, bringing in drugs with the intent to rob them after they sold the drugs.

Very sad indeed. I know that several members here (myself included) are currently going through the hiring process with Border Patrol; I feel this serves as a tragic dose of reality for us of exactly what kind of risk we're hoping to undertake as Agents.

I heard the news today on my way home. Sad day. RIP agent Terry. Why can we not station some military units along the border? What is wrong with having our own militay to prortect our own border? Isn't that the duty of our military?

Why are we afraid of the opinion of the neighboring country about the security of our own border? Don't everyone lock the door of their house? Nobody tells me to keep it unlocked or leave it open.

Very sad news and (myself included also for Border Patrol hiring process). In addition, he was a former Marine and from a former Marine here, you will be very missed by your family, your organization, and by your fellow Marines. Prayers to your family and pray God has made special place for you. Rest in peace

We can pray for the family and co-workers. We can also pray that our comrades run the outstanding suspect to ground quickly so that he may pay for his crime.

For all you guys trying to get hired, it can happen anywhere, anytime. Never forget that and always stay safe.

When a PA dies, it affects all of the Patrol. He will be missed. Condolences to his family and his co-workers at his station. RIP Brother.

RIP Brother. Officer deaths hit me harder with every year of service. Now my son-in-law is in LE, so i worry about him too. My next door neighbor just started the BP academy last week.
