There are five guys going for two positions as armorers. I have made a PowerPoint presentation for our agency issued firearms: Glock, 870 and AR type rife. I have volunteered my time to clean weapons after hours. I have had several discussions about firearms and firearm laws with the Sgt. and Lt.; most have went well. I received a backhanded complement by being told I have "...abnormal knowledge about firearm laws." A few mentions of ATF forms 1, 4 and 10 makes me abnormal I guess. Whatever, it's a compliment none the less. I paid for and attended a Glock armorers course nearly three years ago and used my own comp time to attend. I believe I have a very good understanding of the function of our issued weapons and others.
What else should I do to prepare for the interview?
The interview is 121710, I received the e-mail yesterday regarding the upcoming date. My plan is to provide CD's with the PowerPoint presentation along with binders containing printed copies of the presentation during my closing remarks. It's well know that I am a gunnut enthusiast; I hope that doesn't go against me. Any words of advise and reference material will be appreciated.
