When I was a new deputy and working the jail, I used to switch Christmas with my buddies if I had it off. Being single and Jewish, I really didn't need it and figured the guys who celebrated it would enjoy being with their families.

Now, once I married a Christian and was told we'd be celebrating it (she had a 5yr. old at the time we met), I wanted it off as much as the next guy/gal.

Ernie and Spyder, I didn't have any pie since they had to leave it on the counter and I like really cold pumpkin pie. I did have some of my wife's famous homemade pumpkin roll tho. She made 4 and they were all gobbled up. We have some in the freezer for Christmas and she already has orders for 15 more at my son's work (Paul's TV).

I'm envisioning her being bought out for millions by some conglomerate and me having my own shooting range, a vault to hold my firearms and a lot more firearms.

My wife was lucky and did not have to work yesterday. We had a open house for the patrol guys who were working, all but one was able to come over and have some turkey and stuff. It was nice to see some old friends and meet some of the new guys.
      Poke'm with a stick!
