I was in a TA last night.

    Not my fault however.

I was on my way home yesterday evening, sitting at my red light, when I was rear-ended by a van. Hit me so hard, I was pushed into the vehicle in front of me, even with me standing on my brakes.

The scary part is I don't remember much following the initial impact, up until the California Highway Patrol officer opened my passenger door and was asking me if I was ok. Apparently I was able to put out over the radio I was in an accident, how many vehicles involved and my location...but I dont really remember doing it.

I was a little banged up and my patrol car is totaled...but overall I'll live. I took today off and go back 10-8 tomorrow.

Be careful out there boys...never know when troubles coming.

Glad to hear you are OK...but I suspect you might be feeling worse tomorrow.
So someone rear-ended your Patrol Car?
    Now that is FAIL!

Yeah hit me in my patrol car.

As I sit here this morning I am not as stiff as I expected. My knee hurts a bit where I banged into my computer terminal but I really expected to be feeling a lot worse.

Good to see you are still with us! Was the guy DUI? Ibuprofen is your friend! Great job getting the call out. Again, glad to hear you're okay.

Glad you're ok! Good reminder to stay vigilant - could have just as easily been intentional. (e.g. CHP Officer David Romero, motor unit, was murdered the same way back in 2005 - rammed from behind as he was stopped at a red light).

Good to hear your feeling OK Triad. But just be aware, the third day is always the worst for your body. The muscles tend to hurt enough for you to feel on that day. As stated above, Ibuprofin will help, but any blurred vision or headaches and you get your self back to the ER, just to be on the safe side. Stay safe everyone.

Glad you're okay.. I'd recommend staying off for an extra day or so. like LtMike said, you're going to be sore and you never know if there may be something else wrong with your body.

Glad you are OK! I agree that sometimes it takes 2-3 days for the muscles that tensed up to start hurting. Go easy there my friend!

Be careful out there. How an idiot misses seeing a stopped line of cars including that big white Sheriff's car of yours amazes me. I'd check his cellphone records.

Driving a Crown Vic? If so lucky it's gas tank did not rupture. A few years ago there were a number of LEO's who were killed and or terribly burned after rear ender's in Crown Vics.

                          Hope you feel better.

I've got rear ended 3 times in 2005 every 4 months. Bad year for me.
