    ld28 / traffic enforcement

Does anyone remember the traffic enforcement test in their academy?

I have this test saturday and im curious how difficult it will be and what type of questions to expect.

Any help or guidance is appreciated.

    LD 28

Back in 1999, the POST exam for LD 28 was an open book examination.

My entire academy class was allowed to have a California Vehicle Code (with notes scibbled in the margins) during the LD 28 written exam.

    Good luck!

It's quit easy. I wouldn't even bother with tabbing pages. Most of the questions have sections in them for you to look up, and if you know how to use the VC, you'll be totally fine.

        Take your time.

i took it in 09 and I think it was about 2 hours allowed with an open VC

Yea, definitely don't get rushed and read each question to make sure you understand what it's asking, but don't get worked up about it. The LD was a pain to go through and gets you worked up thinking you have to remember all the codes, but with open book, it's not too bad.

Don't, however, spend so much time looking up codes that you don't get to finish the test in time!!!

Better to have more tab margins and not need them during the test. Most ppl that took it was mostly flipping back and forth searching during the test=>waste of time.

Definitely tab your Vehicle Code to the major chapters. The LD 28 test has been open book since forever, it was when I took it in the 80's. Don't get nervous and you'll be fine.
