Glock case used for transporting

Trying get some answers. When moving my gun from trunk to a building. I read it has to be in a locked container. So since the Glock case doesn't come with a lock. I am able to wrap my red gun lock around the handles to lock my case. Technically it is lock and I can't pull the gun out, I can still open it up with a slight crack maybe a few inches to touch it. Do I have to buy a padlock to lock the case tight or would using my gunlock be ok as far as violations. I was refered here from another post. Thanks

I would go buy a new plastic case for it....real cheap. I believe the new cases come with lock holes on them. Buy yourself some cheap lock(s) and you should be good. Just my 2 cents.

As long as the gun can't be removed with the lock on it, you are good to go.

Drill a hole through the handles large enough for a lock to fit. Place lock through hole and lock when needed. Has there been any new laws as to size, strength, color, or Calif approved type lock needed yet?
