I'm looking for a member of SFPD (or any agency) who can tell me what the following designations signify. I believe that they identify classes of police officers, but I can't be sure.

Those are the ciil service classification codes for the city and county.
Q2, Q3, Q4 are police officer classifications. Q2 is entry level.
Q50 et seq are Sergeant classifications.
Q60 et seq are Lieutenant classifications.
Q80 et seq are Captain classifications.
