    Another Shooting in Oakland....

Well, there was another officer involved shooting in Oakland a bit ago. It hasnt hit the news yet but it will. This is the 3rd officer involved shooting for my office THIS YEAR.

I was talking to a friend earlier and we both felt as if there is a feeling on the street of "something" coming to a head. We both cant put our finger on it, but we agreed that alot of people are struggling and it feels like a powder keg out there. I have never been a "tin hat" wearer or "a war is coming" type of person, but I feel it out there when im "10-8". Anyone else?

Ill be at calibre press "street survival" next week and I couldnt think of a better time to attend....Well be safe out there folks.

Without access to the agency data, my anecdotal take (press reports, yakking with old friends) is that there has been a rise across the Bay Area in officer involved incidents. Hopefully it's a cyclical thing and not indicative of a larger trend.

Either way.... stay safe out there.

I'm not LE, but I know the feeling you are describing. I lived in Long beach when the Rodney King trial took place...I was in my car with my dad at the time the verdict was read (live over the radio), the minute I heard it I told him L.A. was going to burn. I had him drop me off at my apartment and told him to go straight home to San Diego...I didn't leave my apartment for 3 days. It's not fun when that kind of tension can be "felt" and I truly hope nothing comes of your inkling...god knows you all have had a tough go of it as of late.

I get the feeling this country is headed toward either a civil war, race war, or just rogue looting and home invasions and killings much like Mexico. Maybe something triggered by some kind of terrorist activity, who knows? But definately something in the air.
