Once I stopped a guy and arrested him for receiving stolen property. I also arrested him for "falsifying federal document" type charge. It's been so long and I cannot remember the exact charge. Anyways, he produced a "green card (alien registration card)" which appeared to be a fake. I asked him about it, and he later said he bought it in Santa Ana for $20.

I also stopped a guy and he gave me an international license. I ran him in JDIC anyways, and discovered that his CDL was suspended.

People are creative. Illegal aliens will be creative. I guess it is tougher and tougher to spot if they modify the real ID.
