    Info about LEOSA

    Hello everyone
I will be taking a cross country drrive in the future and I plan to CCW under LEOSA. Does anyone know of any website where all of the individual state restrictions may be listed. I understand that New Jersey prohibits hollow points and New York has a magazine capacity limit like ours that may not be covered by LEOSA. Thanks everyone in advance and stay safe.

the carrying is not the issue, but I have had other Leo's state that some aspects like mag capacity and ammo selection is not covered. I have read LEOSA several times and don't think that mags and ammo is covered. I was hoping that someone might know some web site that may have some of these issues outlined. I have searched but not found anything yet.

http://www.leaa.org/218/218text.html http://www.njlawman.com/Articles%202...Jersey-Law.htm The above links add little to the discussion. However there is one statement point where hollow point bullets in New Jersey are still prohibited.
So based upon I would assume 10 rounds or less.

I noticed while NJ talks about their retired leos in their state, that memo doesn't say anything about retired leos from other states.

I never really had any interest in visiting NJ anyway and this memo cements that lack of interest.

Guess I'll have to call the foul on myself for having hollowpoints when I traveled through NJ a few years back.

Here's another hint about the Garden State..... don't try to pump your own gas. Ask me how I know.

Me too. I was still in le in 1993 when we were in NJ with the family. To my defense, I thought we were in N.Y. and don't know how we ended up in NJ. Must have been that last bridge we crossed.

Thanks for the confirmation on New Jersey. FMJ and ten rounders in the compact I guess. In regards to no firearms in government buildings, I assume that all the monuments in DC, Lincoln memorial, Washington monument, Smithsonian, etc., are considered government buildings. So no go on CCW.

I assume that most other states are good to go.
