I think most of them get them through their department, cheaper. At least the 4 I know do it that way.

      yes.

12318. (a) Commencing February 1, 2011, the delivery or transfer
of ownership of handgun ammunition may only occur in a face-to-face
transaction with the deliverer or transferor being provided bona fide
evidence of identity from the purchaser or other transferee. A
violation of this section is a misdemeanor.

      (c) Subdivision (a) shall not apply to or affect the deliveries,
transfers, or sales of, handgun ammunition to any of the following:
      (2) Sworn peace officers, as defined in Chapter 4.5 (commencing
with Section 830) of Title 3 of Part 2 who are authorized to carry a
firearm in the course and scope of their duties.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

If this is the case, you'll see security companies selling ammo like they were selling magazines recently.

The hard part will be getting a retailer to ship it. Most will just automatically restrict it to "No Sales To CA" like they do with so many other things. I believe C&R and COE will also be exempt, but will have the same issue.

I'll bet SGCUSA will ship though. They are LEO friendly.

Hopefully some sellers will realize CA laws have no effect on them as shippers and continue to have "You are responsible for knowing your laws, click here is you are 18 and able to buy ammo" buttons on checkout.
