A few words about the Danner Acadia boots I got last month

I LOVE THEM.

I have worn many brands of boots over the years including Hi-Tech, Magnum, Bates, Chippewa and Red Wing. I would never spend more than 150 bucks on my footwear. I have been eyeballing the Danner Acacia boots for 15 years now and Galls had them on sale for 189 for one day last month. I broke down and bought a pair and I am so pissed I didn't do it sooner. They are awesome. I am looking for reasons to wear them any chance I get. There was no break-in period, they were comfortable the day I put them on and they are getting better and better as the leather softens up. I highly recommend them, even at the everyday price.

I love Danner boots & own three pairs. They hurt breaking them in but the fit like a dream now. Because of their recrafting department I just send them to them once they get worn out to bring them back to new.

great boots. I have a couple as stated prior...break in is kinda rough but once they're broken in your gtg. Soles are little soft and wear quick.

Went the same path you did with boots. Been wearing Danner's for about 13 years now and will continue until I retire.

had these when I was in the military and wore them into the dirt. Never got blisters on my humps, always shined up nicely and and never had a problem. Will be my duty boot when I get hired.

Best boots I've ever had bar none.. As a knuckle-draggin prison guard, they got more than their fair share of abuse, and they never failed me. My wife gives me a hard time when I wear them outside of work with jeans, but they really are more comfortable than most of my other shoes. I have the Acadias and the Ft. Lewis, and I'll never buy another brand of boot, ever.

I have owned five pairs since the 80s and have resoled them many times. It is best to send them back to Portland to be resoled, instead of your local repairman. You can even replace the Gortex inner booty.

When I go overseas and can only bring one pair of shoes, it will be my Danner Blackhawks, which are both sturdy and water resistant. They are heavy, but when you are hiking 20-30 miles a day, you need sturdy shoes. I have flat feet, but with Spenco Orthotics, I can walk miles in my Danners.

Danners are great...and truly waterproof, too.
