congrats. one of the best days of your life. i assume you are some type of reserve officer???
to add on to the above mentioned story of knowing where you are at all times... Have you guys ever sent your rookie running back to the nearest street signs to "remind" him/her what street they were on? haha good timesComment

Congratulations and welcome to the family.
Like everyone has said, be aware of your location at all times. I remember my swearing in, one of the proudest days of my life. Enjoy it, but the work is not over, you still have to complete FTO. congratulations once again and stay safe.

I've got a question. I'm a college student and aspiring to apply to SJPD when I get out of school. What do you think you did to set you apart from other potential recruits? Did you just rock everything that came towards you during the recruiting process? Including the academy?
I'm just curious as I'm looking to do a summer internships to help boost my criminal justice experience.Comment

Thanks fellas!
Getting to know the officers of the PD you intend to seek employment with is a big plus. Going out and doing ride alongs and getting a first hand view from multiple officers. Get to know the PD and how it is structured and the Chief... Definitley know the Cheif!!!I've got a question. I'm a college student and aspiring to apply to SJPD when I get out of school. So as the new guy, are you expected to show up on the first day with a couple of boxes of donuts?

Congratulations, Wildman442, and stay safe.x
