New here, still feeling my way around

Pardon the intrusion, just want to see if this works. Figured this might be a good place, being retired LEO.

Thanx to all for the welcome. Still getting used to the format and finding it a little time consuming to navigate the pages. Of course, with the massive content it will still be time consuming when I do have a handle on it.

I'm looking forward to participating. I actually did enter a test message prior to this one when I found a "group" listed in the east bay. Then I couldn't find a listing for "groups." Can someone point me to the "groups" section? I probably shouldn't leave that one hanging.

          Thanx,
          Leroy

Ah yes, the Paul Revere Network BBS. The good old days when it was a thrill to upgrade to a 14.4 modem! The marvels of modern technology :-)

                Thanx for the memories.

Jim Henry and Brad Alpert are still with me on a 2AMPD yahoogroups. Brad is in the bullet business now. After 30 years in IT he retired to build the Missouri Bullet Company. http://2ampd.net/?p=107 And he is doing well!

I was thinking of Eric and Richard, I'm sure there's others too.

Will never retire ... Last I lived in Solano Co. was when I worked for the Solano Co. Drug Abuse Bureau in early 70's. Living in Alameda, now, but thanx for the invite.

I still get the occasional email remembering waaaaay back but it is difficult to remember most. The BBS had 240 nodes across the nation and generated a lot of users. Nothing compared to nowadays, but it was truly a miracle before the internet :-).

Nowadays, no one used their real name so it is hard to tell who is who. You, for instance :-).

Sorry if I misunderstood. In your first post you said you're a retired LEO.

Leroy retired after 28 years of service. He's just working at other things now.
