Online Database Removal Service for Public Safety Officials

Has anyone used any of these or similar service? This appears to be the easiest way to get personal data removed per CA Government Code 6254.21.

    1. http://www.policeprivacy.org/
    2. http://www.policeprivacy.com/
    3. http://www.privacyforcops.org/
    4. http://police-confidential.com/

Trying to see if they are all legit because personal info has to be entered.

1 & 2 appear to be one in the same and looks legit. Page where personal data is entered is encrypted (https).
3 looks legit and has more options and sites 1 & 2. Website is most professional-looking off all.
4 is the cheapest and the site isn't put together very well. Page where personal data is entered is not encrypted.

the last Gang training we had, the department warned us about some of the Prison gangs setting up websites to attract LEOs, so that they can get our info. I would be very cautious about signing up for anything that is not verified by the department first. I dont know any of these but I would not put any info in. stay safe

There is a Lexis Nexis/CP Clear opt out form. This would be the only service I would utilize since they are the one's actually retaining the information. And the best part is it's free. As I remember, it needs to be signed off by a supervisor, one level above yourself. Send me a PM and I can point you in the right direction.

Number 1 and 2 are real and owned by a Newport Beach PD ofc, if I recall correctly. Basically they send the opt-out letters to the different data base services; something you could probably do yourself, but the service acts as a one stop location to get it taken care of.
