    Finally got the call....

A few of you guys know on here that I am in the process of being hired at a local agency. Well, after a few months of back peddling and some other mishaps I finally got my call. They are giving me a conditional job offer!

Finally all of this hard work is paying off and I am super excited to start.

Just wanted to let people know that I am not going to be a gun grabber and totally support all the things that this website and its affliates aim for. Legal and responsible gun ownership and educating those who dont understand. Including me.

Thanks! The avatar... Well when I was in the academy this guy walks up to me on day 2 and says, "Hey, did anyone ever tell you that you kinda look like Farva from super troopers?"

And so it stuck. I even had a FARVA name tag made for the last week of the academy and the DI's couldnt keep a straight face. It was awesome!

Congrats! I hope that your conditional leads you to a full-time permanent (yeah, I know... budgets these days mean nothing's really "permanent") position. Keep your eyes open, ears open, and listen to your FTO. Stay off the trouble radar until you pass your probationary time.

              ^^^ Copy that

Yes this is for a Full time spot. I am fairly certain that this is a Permanent position. But there is no such thing as a sure thing nowadays.

              Thanks guys

Congratulations! Study hard and always know where you are. I can guarantee you your TO will suddenly stop in the middle of a street where there are no street signs, yell out that he has been "shot" and asks you where you are at.

Stand by to stand by if you do not know! I recall working at Firestone Station for my week ride along and the deputy I was with did exactly that. Well, in that area, most of the street signs had been pulled down by vandals. I was able to tell him the name of the street from a sign from a quarter mile back tho.

Also, always, but always, wear your vest, no matter how hot and uncomfortable it is. Better to be hot and alive in your vest than cold and dead in your coffin. Good luck.

                  WTG Justin!
Can you tell us the agency or city/county?
                  I'm hoping Vacaville.

Thank you retired! I have been doing ride alongs with my TO's and they have been giving me a bunch of maps and stuff to study and good things to prepare myself so I am ahead of the curve and very greatful.

Lugar , no not vacaville. Though that would be an agency I would work for. All I can say right now is local

                    Thanks fellas

                            Thanks Triad!

I have been riding with a bunch of the officers being almost a "cover" without a weapon. So I have been getting used to scanning and watching hands and all those things.

                            Thanks!
