Hello all, I am hoping to enter the Kern County Regional Training accademy this year. I work full time so I'll be entering the modular and going part time for the year. (Hopefully they will have a level 1 at the end of the tunnel)

I did decent on my POST testing, had a decent interview and have yet to hear back. I talked to someone from the detention accademy-who interviewed a week before us-she heard back last monday. I assumed that meant I should hear back sometime early in the week this week. However, I did take the time to email the accademy last week (does she EVER reply?), and left a message Monday night. I had this issue waiting on the POST paperwork and Background packet to come in the mail. Called several times between mid December (test) and mid January before I got a response. Anyone know if this is normal practice from this accademy?

Hey cadet!

I'm in the same boat you are, how did you do in your interview? If you do a quick search you'll see my position. Your post did alot to calm my nerves, because in reality, I was worried I would never hear back. It does seem they take a while to return calls, I got lucky last time I called and caught her in the office. I have yet to hear back, so maybe that just means they are hashing out the details for the full timer academy before working on ours.
