I sure wish we had such a policy when I worked Rowland Heights years ago (heck, it seems like everything I have done was years ago). We had one house that you could set your watch by.

Everyone on dayshift had gone to that house at least 2 during the week. We'd write out the false alarm report, but nothing ever was done. It wasn't the city, it was unincorporated and evidently wasn't important enough.

Heck, sometimes, if I wasn't busy, I'd just head over to the area around the time it was ready to go off and go 97 as soon as the call came out. What a waste of manpower.

I know Im bringing this from the dead but FYI the city of Westminster is now requiring the alarm registration. 30$ for 3 years. The questionnaire looks to be a standard form. They ask about guns and dogs etc. I don't have false alarms but I'm probably gonna register it anyway. The only alarms i get are the ones i cause due to being in a hurry.
