Pierce County deps take fire again, 2 "seriously wounded"

This time their attacker didn't get to roam the streets afterwards. My heart goes out to this department. They are seriously under attack.

Prayers for the deputies and their familes, and for a swift recovery.

Our thoughts and prayers for the injured, and all the law enforcement officers in the region.

It's not what you picture when you think of the Washington State area. You kind of expect those things in some areas of L.A.

Wow...Not again...Did I read correctly that they were not going to arrest the person but just remove him??

For those in LE, please be careful and ever vigilant....

May God watch over the officers and their families. I can't believe this has happened again. I was born in Seattle and I know the area well, it just doesn't feel like the type of place that such evil would be perpetrated. I guess evil is all around us and we had better all be more vigillant in our duties.

        Let's be careful out there.

Wrong... just wrong. Thoughts and prayers out to the deputies and to the innocent members of the shooter's family.

          Stay safe, stay aware.

I hope Deputy Kent Mundell pulls through.

              Update: Sad news

Unfortunately, as many of you undoubtedly know, Deputy Mundell did not survive. Yesterday afternoon he was taken off life support and, with his family at his side, he died. He was 44 years old.

So much sadness up in Washington right now.

My condolences to his loved ones, friends and colleagues.

That area has lost six officers since October. My thoughts and prayers to all the law enforcement officers and their families in the Seattle area.

A sad day for all law enforcement.

I have somewhat of a morbid question. When a dept loses an officer, do they replace the person right away or what happens? Do the remaining officers do double shifts to make up the coverage?

I was in Seattle this morning and the news had pretty could coverage of the memorial service; in fact, it was covered live. The procession reportedly had a 1000 black and whites.
