Hey guys,
I was just wondering on the legality of building your own CA legal AK rifle, of course following the 922r compliance list and all the other features, such as non-detach mag and no more than 10 rounds. Now does this built semi-automatic (non NFA) require registration? Serial numbers would be put on it, and also other identifying marks, as well as evidence that it is your own built firearm. I have heard it is unnecessary, but how is it so that people can go around acquiring firearms without a DROS? Either way, I just was wondering. Any LEO or other input would be great. Thanks!
