Retired LEO / Threaded Barrel ??

I know a retired LEO can keep his off-roster handgun and high cap mags that were purchased while on active LE status, but what about a threaded barrel that was part of an officer-owned duty weapon?

I would assume it would fall under the same category as your high caps and off-roster handguns, but I couldn't tell ya off the top of my head.

Threaded barrels fall under the AW laws. IF you can get department authorization to purchase it, DOJ will let you register it as an AW usually. THreaded barrels are basically good for supressors, which in CA can only be owned by an agency, not an individual, so I doubt any agency would give an individual officer authorization to buy one. Waste of time in my opinion.
