Does anyone know what firearms are issued to California Alcoholic Beverage Control Investigators?

Possibly the same .40 S&W that CHP issues, a number of state agencies piggyback onto CHP's order. State Parks does. Although I think the ABC guys can pretty much carry what they want. Nearly all of the criminal investigators come as laterals from municipal and county agencies, at least of the ones I interfaced with over the years.

I don't know what they are issued, but I have always seen them with compact Glocks. I'm not sure if they were personal guns.Comment

I had a State Fire inspector come onto a job, he had a G19.
I asked him what the issue sidearm was, he told me pretty much any double action pistol was GTG.There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
