    R.I.P. Det. Edson Veloro

    EOW 10-23-2009

Ed, though I've only had the honor of knowing you vicariously through my present partner and the dear brothers and sisters you've left behind @ UCSFPD, please know, you will be missed.

Carry on bruddah and God Bless you and your family.

Please say a prayer for his family and friends who mourn the loss of another one gone too soon.

Whether you know personally or not, losing a fellow brother in arms is always painful. RIP Det. Veloro. My prayers for him and his family.

Thank you for your service Detective Veloro, and may you rest in peace.

My present partner is one of Veloro's best friends. They were partners for years at UCSFPD.

My partner came in 10-8 on Friday just after the news broke and I could see the devastation in his face...they were extremely close friends.

Thanks for the prayers guys. Remember to be safe out there!

Wasn't he a deputy sheriff prior to lateralling to UCPD?

In any event, prayers and best wishes out.

A terrible loss, especially for a small dept.
