Officer Wade has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home. She is currently getting around the clock care, dealing with memory issues and will have to re-learn a lot of simple things.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

That is good to know that she survived her injuries well enough to be sent home!

Is there a prognosis as to whether she will recover sufficiently in time to return to duty someday if she chooses or is that too much to hope for.

I am sorry to read this.

May her youth, her stick-to-it-iveness, her patience, her courage, and the love of her family and friends help her to reach wholeness again.

From what the family is releasing her return to duty is hoped for at this point but is not at all certain. She apparently is a pretty tenacious customer though, so anything is possible and the best is hoped for.

Get well soon. Sounds like she is a fighter, and I have no doubt she'll claw her way back to full duty. Stay safe to all those out on the street.

On a side note...why is it that the person being chased by the goodguys/gals is never the one to get hit by a motorist?
