    juvinile felonies

    quick question.
    if one has two juvinile felonies consisting of gta at the age of 14 and posetion of a fake id at the age of 17, is one still able to lagally obtain a firearm if their record gets sealed and maintains a clean adult record?

    If these were actually full convictions and were not pleaded down to misdemeanors I imagine gun ownership is out the window. You need to speak to a firearms attorney to get a better explanation.

      none of the charges were reduced to misdimeanors.. anyone on here legally own a firearm and had felony convictions as a juvinile?

        Maybe file for a Personal Firearms Eligibility Check via the state.

          I was told as long as they where not violent felonies you can still obtain a firearm. Was I fed wrong info?

            If your stealing cars at 14 and have a fake ID at 17..........I wonder what that person didn't get caught doing? Thats the model of responsibility right there.

              I know there are some folks on the forum who had juvenile felonies... they went through the legal process of having them reduced to misdos and expunged... not sure of the whole process, but it involves successful completion of probation, going to the court to have the charges reduced from felony to misdo, then having your juvenile misdo record expunged. you need a lawyer for this.

                Fake ID is a felony in CA?

                How come none of the illegals ever get charegd with it?

                  yea its a felony because the id has a copy of the CA state seal. the charge is forgery.

                      Also, juveniles aren't convicted. They're adjudicated. The only juveniles who are convicted have either:

                      1. Had a fitness hearing and been declared unfit (you've done something really really bad), and sent up to regular ol' adult court and then convicted as adults-

                      or

                      2. Direct-filed by the DA as an adult (you've done something very very bad).

                        Sanctuary? Well sure they act like criminals and commit criminal acts, but really they are just looking for a better life. It's probably about the children.
