I agree, and I've read the rules and talked to mods before. What I don't agree with is the blanket statement that anything negative about any LEO is considered bashing, no matter it's context. It seems to be a double standard, and doesn't promote free discussions. There was never anything directed at any one person, or any specific officer or department. Only a general statement regarding DUI checkpoints, which mind you, Gene was also talking about in another thread just now. He says they're unconstitutional, this person here in this thread more or less said the same thing.

Furthermore, in post #37, I had requested that it be taken down a notch and the thread should remain informational. I didn't mention names because I didn't see a need to. You obviously have decided you want to expand your comments beyond the OP to express your opinion on how things are to be done in this particular forum. As has been stated, the rules were set by the owner and we, as mods will enforce them, your opinion of the rules, notwithstanding.

I was corrected for not knowing the smog laws by a cop, who knows the law since it's been that way for years as they stated. So, someone was nice enough to correct that person. I was just making a point that it's hard for anyone to know all of the ever changing laws.

Was I overboard? I don't think so... This sub-forum goes one way and not the other. However, my writing of this is useless as usual because I'm arguing with cops, and we all know how well that goes over.

I'll just leave this sub-forum alone, it's too one sided for me.
