    Odd gun....Possibly (likely) stolen

Does anyone know of a manufacturer in or around San Diego that makes or made a clone of a Glock 26 (9mm Sub-compact) with the make "5580" or "SS80" imprinted on the right side of the mag well?
Just had one walk into the shop for repair (SO notified). he magazine that was with it was a "AMEND2". The right side also has imprinted on the upper grip "Made in USA Sad Diego".

That's the one Glockstore.com was selling as an 80%. Probably not stolen, but probably not legally obtained or possessed today.

GlockStore announced an awesome new product: an 80% frame that is compatible with the Glock 43. You can now build your own single stack, subcompact 9mm very easily. And...it is affordable!

      AFAIK...

The Glock Store (San Diego, CA) made 80% Glock style frames (for the Glock 17 Gen 3, 19 Gen 3, 26 Gen 3, 43 Gen 5) that they had designated the SS80 series.

After the CA firearm precursor parts laws went into effect, the Glock Store discontinued their SS80 series.

Afterwards, the Glock Store (Nashville, TN) started making their own Glock clones as a 07-FFL.
      ^The GRIT 19 (Glock 19 Gen 3 clone) and GSX100 (Glock 19X Gen 3 clone).

The Glock Store (San Diego, CA) was never licensed as a 07-FFL.
Which is why they only made/sold 80% and never made/sold complete firearms.

      FYI.

Starting 01-01-2024, that is illegal to possess in CA. [PC 23920(b)]

      Penal Code 23920
      (b) Except as provided in Section 23925, any person who, on or after January 1, 2024, knowingly possesses any firearm that does not have a valid state or federal serial number or mark of identification is guilty of a misdemeanor.
