If you read SB2, retired and off duty LEO are EXEMPT from the carry restrictions. In other words, SB2 will NOT affect retired or off duty LEO’s in California. That’s how it was written. LEOSA has nothing to do with SB2.

Section 16690 of the Penal Code is amended to read:
