    reserve LEO ppt? Group 1?

I know California now has different tiers/groups of law enforcement officer when it comes to PPT and off roster purchases. If you were a reserve for a local sheriff's office or a local PD, it appears the reserve would fall under Group 1 and can PTT off roster to anyone able to legally obtain a firearm. Am I missing anything here?

Non-Roster Handgun (Unsafe Handgun) Exemptions Criminal penalties may attach to persons who sell, purchase, give, or otherwise transfer a non-roster handgun. However, there are three groups of public entities that may purchase non-roster handguns. The prerequisites for purchase, the eligibility of sworn members of the entities to purchase non-roster handguns for personal use, and the restrictions on resale vary. For complete details please see California Penal Code section 32000, et seq.

Reading the PC, do you fit into the following of group 1?

“This section does not prohibit the sale to, or purchase by, sworn members of these agencies of a handgun.”

If you are a sworn member of group 1 you can sell to anyone who is eligible to PPT one.
