It needs to be made CA legal before it is delivered to the CA FFL dealer.

its not that difficult. most of the FFL's around me have off rosters under the glass now.

Thanks for the info. I believe I have an FFL that will do the CA end, I just need to confirm with them.

Your LE status is immaterial for off roster from a linear relative (mom, dad, son, daughter, etc.) just needs to be CA legal.
