Since most of us know or should know that an illegal can not obtain a firearm under federal law this is going nowhere. It's more virtue signaling.

I think most of us have seen the effects of lowered hiring standards, how low are the politicians willing to go? My last 2 years as an FTO we released more trainees than we kept. They lowered our hiring standard to get more bodies, because our pay was toward the bottom of the agencies around us, it didn't help.

This job isn't attracting the numbers of qualified candidates that it used to. There are many things we can blame for this, but that's irrelevant to the current conversation.

The Dems are virtue signalling and trying everything they can to create a new voter base out of illegals. The amount of lives lost and innocents harmed by people that have no business being here is astounding to me. The politicians in this State have allowed this invasion to take place and are trying everything possible to normalize their failures.

I am glad I am retired. I never recommended LE as a career for my children and now for my grandchildren.

Lol California and federal regulation do not go in the same sentence...Their sanctuary policy and refusal to work with ICE. It's one thing to protect undocumented aliens, but ABSOLUTELY another thing to protect criminal aliens which this state blatantly does.

Again California DOES NOT CARE about FEDERAL REGULATIONS, thats not even a valid or reasonable argument.
