    7/11/09 OPD's motor LEO competition

Any of you going to be there, either as motor or spectator?

Here's the website giving the details: Click.

That's my photo of the late Deputy Larry Canfield (but it's been skewed). It's also used in the registration form. My permission to use it was not sought. But I'm not going to make an issue of that. Maybe if I meet the guy who runs Motorcops.com, I'll tell him somethin'.

That picture of Larry was from last June's OPD motor comp. Recently in going through my RAW images I discovered I took a few photos of Sgt. Dunakin on his bike during that motor comp. Later this week I'll be posting some of those prints to OPD.

Here's one of my favorite motorcycle exhibition drills, done by the Rome Italy Police in the early 1950's. Pretty cool huh? I like the music too. Motoguzies!

          I absolutely hate that video.

On a motor forum I used to visit, for a while people were posting it like every other day! So obnoxious. (Yes, and I guess the feat was spectacular for its day.)

Back to the OPD motor comp, here is a link to some of the photos I shot last year: Click! In one of the collision shots you'll see OPD motor Sgt. Mark Dunakin in profile, laughing and imposingly tall as he strides by in his motor boots.

Thanks for posting the photos from last year.

Sorry about me liking that video, it was the very first time I've ever seen it, I am such a motor noob...
