I have a couple of buddies that work homicide. They've each told me that if the shooting looks good, they will do everything they can not to seize the gun at all. Pictures are generally good enough.

I have a couple of buddies that work homicide. They've each told me that if the shooting looks good, they will do everything they can not to seize the gun at all. Pictures are generally good enough.

That's just not real feasible. ANY gun used in a shooting will be taken as evidence at the time of the shooting.

Even shootings which "look good" at the time of the incident can be found later to not be "good".
