Very positive expireice trafiic stop by LAPD

I live in a very conservative part of the west SFV. We all watch out for each other and hardly never LE presence.
Anyway driving home from the bank at 9am this morning. Mind you 2 blocks away from my house. Stop sign. Now if you make a full stop in my area couple things will happened. You will get rear ended or almost a road rage. So I did a quick stop and kept going. Boom LAPD ford explorer park on a side in a residential street.
Lights and siren. I'm thinking **** now what. PA system drive past a next sign and stop. I did that. Window down and both hands on the wheel.
To my surprised big officer in really good shape with 2 or 3 strips came over. He told me relax its just a warning stop. He asked to see my license. My response why still holding a wheel can I reach my back pocket? He starts laughing and says of course.
Anyway I gave him my License and he came back few minutes later and said that he needs me to do a full stop next time and sign a white paper just because of camera.
I asked what do with a paper slip? His response use it for dart practice or make an air plane but make a full stop next time. We both laugh and that was it.
Now I haven't been pull over in 13 years. That was a good wake up call. After a while I started feeling invincible.
Do I need to be concern with a paper warning only ticket?

Nobody he is just doing that for shift activity and to show whom he contacted should someone complain.

I'll bet dollars to doughnuts one of your neighbors called in a complaint about violators not stopping at the intersection. He was probably assigned to sit there to get stats for that call by his WC.

BTW I've also been told that people speed in the #1 lane on the expressway because they were afraid of being rear-ended at 80 or get into a road rage

I just saw my neighbor get out of his pool cleaning truck all disoriented. I go hey Darren did you get a ticket? His response how did you know? I laugh cause I got one. We both discussed how we get away doing stopped things with out toys. We both have some fast hot rods plus he got a few fast Harleys. Maybe we'll be doing some burn outs at that stop sign tonight or maybe not.

Makes perfect sense. There were a few houses for sale lately and some yappy moved in to neighborhood. Looks like computer types.

It might have gone different for you if you were a CCW'er and had to inform. I can't find it but there is a Youtube vid of a CCW'er being stopped by LASD near Watts Towers. He went through the whole cuff and search and then the delay while the deps were educated about CCW. He says in the vid that they seemed pissed that they had to give his gun back and let him go.
So many departments are undereducated about CCWs and this can lead to some uncomfortable moments for a CCw'er in La County.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I got a white copy of traffic violation warning. From Topanga division. It is filled out with violation code 22450(a)vc - Stop Sign Violation. I don't want to post a pic of it due to my and officer info.
Officer was joking and said to use it for dart practice but it's hanging on a refrigerator door as a reminder.
Same officer was back last week on Thursday together with much younger officer at the same spot. I guess people still blowing thru that stop sign. No one ever saw LE at that stop sign. I've been at this location since 2004.

There's nothing like the officer leading with "I'm just going to give you a warning".

Of course, you could have started yelling about how you pay his salary and asking of you're being arrested or are you free to go. Those usually get a very good experience with local LE.
