LEOs work a geographical area and within a geographical area exist multiple areas, neighborhoods, and people of different demographics. Weird concept, I know.

Considering the fact that you are posting in the LEO forum and the OP specifically asked for LEO responses only, you never should have started in the first place.

There probably is. There is also probably racism against blacks, whites, and hispanics, as well. Problem is when the fact patterns aren't there, we (meaning LEOs) cannot create a crime out of nothing. As the saying goes, "it's not what we believe, it's what we can prove."

I don't work in the Bay Area and you can take my opinion for what it's worth. As I told a friend who lived in the Bay after he resigned from being a LEO and building cases on high profile gangbangers/mafia folk, etc., good luck getting a CCW in the Bay area. Better move somewhere else or have "primary residence" in CA which still issues them.
