M&p 2.0 core

Does anyone know if any shop has a M&P 2.0 core in 9mm availible? Looking to switch to the core for my duty weapon. I am currently carrying M&P 1.0 in .40 cal. This switch will allow me to keep the same holster. I really don't like the .40 gen 1 and I am not confident in it since the trigger assembly broke during my qual.

Any thoughts on the 2.0 core?

If you're in SoCal, proforce has a few 5", 4.25" and maybe if you're lucky like I was, a 4" CORE 2.0 in 9mm.

Should have been more specific. Im in nor cal. But a road trip may not be out of the question.

If they couldn't find or order it, then I'd go from there. The OP will need to decide on which exact model number for any FFL to do a search. I see the options for a CORE seem to be barrel length and if ported or not.

I've no experience with S&W's M&P series, otherwise. It just seems like a big hassle if something breaks; parts are needed; and it's not a Glock. If for duty use, having two handguns with the necessary ancillary equipment would help. In this case, the OP already has a .40 caliber version which could be substituted into use if the primary is down for any reason.

I suppose an LE department would have some type of alternative handguns and holsters to use for issue even if personally-owned-firearms area also allowed; at least temporarily.
