    Handcuffs

Been watching a lot of English TV cop shows. They use handcuffs with a solid block between the wrist loops instead of a few links of chain.

Depending on how they are put on the hands cannot touch each other.

The only problem is they are not as compact to carry around. They have a clamp on their vests instead of a cup on the belt.

    Opinions?

Pro: stronger and harder for someone to get under their legs
Con: harder to get onto a struggling individual since you cant maneuver/twist them on

I haven't seen or used the OP's subject handcuffs. There wasn't much room left to spare on my duty belt and I don't know how I'd carry the OP's subject handcuffs. I didn't often wear an external vest as it wasn't part of our normal uniform wear.

I preferred the hinged-type cuffs (shown in attached photo), but carried both the hinged and the handcuffs with a chain linking the two sides in a pouch which carried the two handcuffs.

The pouch didn't fit two hinged cuffs well or I would have carried two hinged-type cuffs.
