    San Bernardino Police Department Question

    What is the passing time for the 500 yard dash??
    Im strong but my cardio aint what it used to be...

    From the looks of it, their physical ability test is the PWSTB. There isn't a passing time, it's a total of points. Refer to this:

      Cool. That would benefit me. I searched online and some agencies want to see it done in under 1 min 45 sec.

            Keep in mind the POST represents minimum recommendations and academy standards. Some agencies may impose a higher standard. You may find an agency requires a certain total score AND a minimum score of 60% on any given event. This helps ensure a level of physical attribute balance in recruit.

            You can always call the agency’s recruitment unit and ask. Otherwise shoot for 70% or more in any event. The agency may band/rank candidates based on results instead of a simple pass/fail.
